Church Wedding Ceremony
Scott and Sarah’s wedding was so much fun! The couple have a free spirit, playful energy that shines through in the photographs, take a look for yourselves! Their Deans Court Wedding was large and ended at a marquee next to a massive pond and, my favourite, a forest!
We started off straight at the Church. I got a few shots at the modern, suburban church before the groom and co. arrived. They got a few finishing touches sorted out and goofed around. They had so many cool ideas of fun shots that they wanted to do so I happily indulged them. Just before everyone started to arrive, the boys all gathered round and made a prayer to the day. The friends and family started to arrive and the guests had just as much energy as the groom. People were playing around laughing and enjoying the gorgeous sun that graced the day! All the guests were constantly laughing, singing and having fun.
Sarah arrived in a classic VW Beetle in a vibrant aqua colour and was wearing a simple satin gown, reminiscent of the 50’s. Every part of the Wedding was full of joy, Sarah and Scott were beaming the entire time and goofing around. There was more singing after the vows had been exchanged before the couple danced their way outside to have tons of confetti thrown over them.
Reception at Deans Court
On the way to the reception, we stopped off at the New Forest to take some, yet again, energetic photos. The couple were wearing welly boots, a fun twist to the post-ceremony portrait, and had so much energy jumping around and having fun in front of the camera. We then made our way to the Dean’s Court. They had a big marquee set up for them, a big bright venue for the reception. Scott and Sarah had prepared each and every guest a letter; such a thoughtful touch to their Wedding! Another fun and creative part of their wedding was the Open Mic Speeches! After they heard the emotional and funny speeches from the closest and dearest, they opened up the mic to the rest of the guests; anyone could get up and say a little something.
When the speeches were all wrapped up I took the couple for a wander around the grounds where we saw a huge tree with a conveniently grown horizontal branch… so what else would the bride do, besides climb it!
But that wasn’t the end of the fun. The couples first dance was unreal. They had choreographed a whole routine to an Olly Murs song. They got the bridesmaids and best men up on the dance floor to continue dancing with flips, worms and shimmying to every beat.
The party kept going and was just as creative as the rest of the wedding. The parents played guitar and sung and Scott and his brother made a little performance as well. , I did take the couple away to do some fun night shots. They were keen to get some photographs with the fairy lights, much to my delight, so we experimented with angles and lights until some seriously cool fairy light shots had been taken!
Scott and Sarah were so incredible and joyful, full of energy, and it resonated throughout their wedding photographs. The best thing about weddings is that you can make it truly yours, and they absolutely did.
