Awesome Tipi Wedding
Dean and Kayleigh’s wedding is now on my blog! What an amazing weddding it was! It all started in K’s parents house where she was getting ready, followed by a beautiful church ceremony conducted by a very special person (look at photos and you’ll find out 😉 D&K always wanted a Tipi wedding and they found a perfect location to celebrate with family and friends. It was a fun-filled Day and an absolute joy to photograph!

Wedding experience from Dean and Kayleigh’s side
Your number one piece of advice for brides and grooms just starting to plan their wedding?
K: prior to the wedding have a think about how you are going to keep yourself relaxed and stress free on the day
D: the wedding is just a day – an amazing day – but don’t let the planning completely take over your lives
The dress, from buying it to how you felt in it on the day?
K: My dress was so hard to find, I wanted a light weight practical princess dress as it would be summer and in a marquee! Finally I found myself in Bridal Indulgence, I bought my dress that day it’s Catherine by Wtoo, Watters. I added straps and a trailing ribbon, when I tried it on after the alterations I felt so amazing, it was exactly what I wanted, I couldn’t wait to show Dean!
The most memorable moment of your wedding for you?
D: seeing Kayleigh walk down the aisle
K: walking in to church and just seeing everyone I loved in one place was an amazing moment
What’s your favourite DIY wedding hack.
We didn’t want waste and left over wedding bits so purposely chose decor that we could use again, give away or recycle.
Table plan was flowers in planters which are now in our garden and centre pieces were flowers in jam jars which guests took home.
We also borrowed lots of things like vases, signs and baskets.
What was the highlight of your day? Celebrating and dancing with all our friends and family
How did you choose your awesome vendors that made your Wedding Day extra special?Â
GK Photography
We immediately loved all the colour and light in Greg’s photos, he was such a source of calm on our day and just so lovely to have around.
Blacknest Golf Club – I had always wanted a tipi wedding, Blacknest was easily the most affordable and convenient way to achieve this. The staff and in-house catering are so flexible and take away all the hassle of having to hire in external suppliers, crockery, chairs, generators, toilets etc. The proximity to our church and home also made it a no brainer.
Rachel from Fleurametz
Rachel was a friend from our church. She did the most phenomenal job, the church looked insane and I loved my flower crown and the bouquets.
Bridal Indulgence – They had such a nice diverse range of dresses and in all difference sizes, Kerri was amazing, honest and also the first person who didn’t make me feel embarrassed about my budget.
The City Folk – we found them online and were blown away by how good they sounded. They were amazing and professional at our wedding, would definitely recommend.
