Petersfield Wedding Photography – James and Stephanie
How would I describe James and Stephanie’s wedding in 3 words? Relaxed, Fun and Incredible! They had a beautiful church ceremony, followed loads of bubbles, they hired a Village Hall and did everything up all by themselves! It all looked amazing. The grounds were perfect to go and have fun. It was a massive field of green where people could play frisbees, football or jump in the bouncy castle! (which they totally did!) I had lots of fun photographing their Wedding Day and I’d happily do it all over again 🙂
Guys, I absolutely loved being your Wedding Photographer, you’re amazing and your Wedding was a joy to capture! Thank you for sharing your words of wisdom, how you did all the wedding planning and sharing your memories from your amazing Day! Here are the highlights from your Day <3 <3
James and Stephanie’s Words of Wisdom
the style, theme and overall vibe of your wedding.
Our day was styled around a colour palette of purple, blue and green and fun! While the theme largely followed a nature theme, with birds, butterflies and flowers, we deviated whenever we found something we loved such as bride and groom llamas for the sweet table and lanterns for our table centerpieces. We wanted to keep things personal, so as much as possible was handmade to some degree, from handwriting the bar menu through to making the 4 tier cake!
Number one piece of advice for brides and grooms just starting to plan their wedding? Pick your bridesmaid dresses before picking a colour theme. We really struggled to find dresses in the colour we wanted because purple wasn’t on trend! The other thing we’d recommend is sorting out the things that matter to you most first, so that you can tailor your budget around those items.
Wedding dress, from buying it to how you felt in it on the day
I only spent one afternoon looking at dresses simply because I didn’t want the process to take any longer than that, I love dresses as my wardrobe will attest to, so I had no one set style I was aiming for. It came down to two, torn between my traditional dress ideas and the one that fulfilled the dream of being a princess for the day. Needless to say, I went with the one that elevated me to princess status. What was the most memorable moment of your wedding for you?
The most memorable moment of our wedding was our first dance to Still into You by Paramore, which we lead into rickrolling all of our guests with Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give you Up.
Favourite DIY wedding hack.
Our table decorations were made from an IKEA tealight holder, a polystyrene ball and a whole lot of tissue paper to create cute little flower pots.
What was the highlight of your Day?
Having a bouncy castle – fun for children, adults, bride and groom! (Also, sweet table, glow sticks and bubbles!)
How did you choose your awesome vendors that made your Wedding Day extra special? A lot of internet research, but a lot of the time it boiled down to recommendations from people we know and the technical know-how of the vendor themselves (the Hog Roast providers were solely chosen based on the fact they knew what gluten free and vegan was!)
